A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few features, but it’s really simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just one click. All the email addresses that you have will be shown in this section alphabetically and you will just need to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires one more click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all e-mailbox with ease even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have set up using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. If you reach the decision that you do not need the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
